About the role 🧐

Are you a developer who enjoys turning ideas and designs into intuitive, high-quality apps? We’re looking for a Mobile Developer to join our Product & Development team and help shape the mobile experience of Appical’s onboarding platform.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining user interfaces for our mobile applications across both iOS and Android. You translate design mockups into responsive, interactive components and ensure a smooth and reliable experience for users worldwide.

You’ll work closely with designers, backend engineers, product managers, and QA to deliver features end-to-end. At the same time, you’ll contribute to improving our mobile architecture and help us move toward a more unified cross-platform approach, including Kotlin Multiplatform.

In this role, you'll be joining the Product & Development team. A team led by Gijs Hendrix.

What you’ll do

You build and maintain our mobile apps in Swift and Kotlin, translating designs into clean, well-structured code. Working alongside our other mobile developer, you take ownership of features from idea to release, including testing and app store submissions.

You collaborate closely with backend engineers on API integrations and with QA on ensuring quality across devices. Along the way, you debug issues using logs and crash reports, and continuously improve performance, stability, and usability.

You actively contribute to code reviews, documentation, and technical discussions, and help shape how we evolve our mobile stack, including our exploration of Kotlin Multiplatform.

You’re a match if you… 💗

• Have 3+ years of experience building mobile applications for both iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin)

• Enjoy working on user-facing features and care about quality, usability, and performance

• Can translate designs into clean, maintainable, and well-structured code

• Take ownership of your work and feel comfortable delivering features end-to-end

• Are strong in problem-solving and able to debug issues independently

• Communicate clearly and enjoy collaborating with designers, product managers, and engineers

• Have a proactive mindset and like improving code, processes, and the product itself

• Are curious and open to learning new technologies like Kotlin Multiplatform

• Bring experience with React or React Native (nice to have)
